the Journey.

The journey started in 2018 when we found out about various types of coffee beans and their naturally occurring flavors.  With this curiosity, we began to explore various coffee plantations and farmers in Indonesia and learned about the processing of the coffee beans.

In the journey, we met many amazing people that have now become part of the community.  We met farmers from young adults to the elderly whom each tell a unique life story and cultural background.  They too, like us, have dreams.

They have family and basic needs to be met such as education, rice on the table, and even days of rest.  It's not uncommon for these farmers to work double or triple jobs to survive.  Some of them do other odd-jobs alongside farming to meet their needs when the reality of the existing traditional "middlemen" doesn't always benefit the farmers.

This comes to our promise that it will be a fair trade on a mutual basis for us and all farmers.

the Plan.

Indonesia comprises of 5 main Islands.  On each island, Volcano Mountains stand magnificently to provide fertile land for coffee plants to grow.  Our plan is to curate Coffee Beans from each area with ethics in mind.

We want to explore and taste each origin has to offer, while at the same time benefit disadvantaged farmers who has no access to the market to sell their produce.

Try our range of available curated coffee beans here.  Let's have a coffee chat by either Whatsapp us here or book your free tasting or hands-on here

Learn about how the culture shapes the identity of Indonesia Coffee Beans. You are invited to taste and explore how the spices and tropical fruits naturally infused in our coffee beans, bringing the right balance of sweetness, acidity, and its' earthy taste.

Lastly, coffee beans will not be complete without a good espresso machine.

the Machine.

At the same time, we are also finally found an espresso machine that ticked all our boxes.  We realised that choosing an espresso machine is like choosing a spouse. After almost two years of "courting period" where we experimented with various popular brands in the market, we finally found THE ONE, Lelit Bianca.

We were pleasantly surprised by the price for such features, appearance, and endurance.  Think long-term relationship.  We then decided to say goodbye to all of our previous machines.

LELIT comes with features that give us the opportunity to tweak certain functions. We enjoyed utilising the pre-infuse system and adjusting the temperature. Most importantly, it brews great coffee that doesn't compromise its taste. Buy now.

the Beans.

There's no other country like Indonesia.

Coffee was first introduced by the Dutch in the 16th century. The first successful production from Batavia was sent to Amsterdam in 1711 and was rewarded with the highest bid.

One of the plant seeds were from Yemen, followed by seeds originated from India (that we have today in our range as Malabar beans), Sri Lanka, and Abyssinia (that we know today as Ethiopian beans).

From Sumatera Island, we have Gayo Abbysinia, Linthong, Mandheling, Solok, Padang, and Bengkulu.

From Java Island, we have Gunung Puntang, Malabar, Ciwidey, Dieng, Wonosobo, Argopuro,  Ijen, Kawi, and many more.

Each origin processes its coffee beans differently.  The processes include Full wash, Semi wash, Natural wash, Honey wash, and Wine Processed.  Find out how unique our beans are.

the Farmers.

how buying coffee beans from us helps the farmers?

In a developing country like Indonesia, there are many disadvantaged farmers. These people, like you and me, have families and dreams. The reality is, there are still many farmers live in poverty.

Market knowledge, access, language barrier, and lack of power limit their ability to sell the coffee beans they grow. Most often, they are used by the middlemen and get unfair prices. This is where we aim, to connect coffee farmers with the world.

The farmers can sell their coffee at a better price, cutting out the middlemen. We'll take care of the quality control, the shipments, and all administration issues, and you get to enjoy good quality coffee at a reasonable price right on your cup.

Maybe one day, we will even be able to take you there.
